The cloth
Five pieces, two cloths and a woven. Fabric articles are confirmed with the mill; composition and weight are not yet on record and are not published here until they are. TBC
The mark
Every SVRV mark reads by relief or sheen, tone on tone — never by colour. Blind deboss on the board, tonal raised print on the cloth, laser engraving on the metal. One language, whatever the material. On black there is no colour contrast, so the sheen is the mark; flat would not read quiet, it would read absent.
The standard
The mark is applied at size on the actual shell, one strike-off per colourway, before any bulk run. Hairlines continuous and unbroken. Relief even across the mark, no flat spots. Position within ±2 mm, square to the centre back.
